This YTS61S tenor is fully original with all original pads, corks and felts, but also plays amazing. Has an incredible sound that really doesn't compare to anything else. These are incredibly rare as the silver plated version was not commercially available, from the research I've done these were only given to special artists. The horn has been preserved beautifully and is a stunning example of a purple logo era Yamaha. Yamaha YBS41 Baritone Saxophone. Shall we say it shows a lot of character? The value of this instrument is in it being freshly re-padded and in how it plays. It is a purple logo YBS41, you can see just a few purple marks still left on the bell. The YBS 41 is an intermediate baritone that was sold mostly into the Japanese market. Budget horn that plays really well, set up at GV Brass and Woodwind Repairs, by Gabriel. No mouthpiece, I can add one at an extra cost.- Selmer Reference 54 Tenor Sax. Set-up at GV Brass and Woodwind Repairs. This instrument is in good condition and the pads look great. These are a few lacquer blemishes typical of an older sax. These dont affect the way it plays. The neck is in perfect condition with no pulls or dents. Selmer has stopped producing this model, so the Reference 54 joins the history list of legendary saxes produced by Selmer.

The body shows some character and the case though it shows wear, it is sturdy and structurally sound. This particular saxophone plays with a big dark sound. These horns are not manufactured anymore and will keep/ increase in value over time.
