Their thicker tip helps them last longer and the thinner bevel allows for a brighter and more punchy sound well suited to contemporary music styles. The Etude Thumb Rest is a light weight thumb rest for clarinet and Oboe made out of durable plastics. The Etude enhances the freedom of playing. Allows for faster and easier movement of the ring- and little finger and it prevents fatigue of the thumb and hand. (+ arm and shoulder). It gives you a sense of control and a firm “grip” on your instrument. The Etude Thumb Rest allows the instrument to rest on the space between the two joints on the thumb. The lever momentum is much smaller at this point so the thumb can support the weight much more easily. Properly balancing the flute has never been easy – until now! The Prima Thumb Rest prevents the instrument from rolling towards you. It also reduces the flute’s pressure against your lips, it incites a correct position of your fingers, and helps to prevent tension in fingers, hands, arms, and shoulders. The ergonomically shaped thumb plateau prevents the thumb to slip away to the left, and the flute to roll towards player, especially while changing octaves. The Prima thumb rest allows the right hand to be more open and relaxed, therefore the ring- and little finger move easier to the lower keys. -
